Best steel corrosion protection coatings

Corrosion Resistant Coatings Corrosion resistant coatings shield alloy components against degradation due to moisture, salt spray, oxidation or exposure to various industrial or environmental chemicals. Anti-corrosion coating allows for extra protection of metal surfaces and become a barrier to inhibit the contact between corrosive stuff or chemical compounds. Most of the coatings listed below also give a stimulus of abrasion resistance, non-stick chemical and functionality protection. Metal Coatings provides both corrosion resistant bolt coating services and corrosion protection fastener coating services.
Benefits of Corrosion Resistant Coatings Coatings with anti-corrosive properties ensure alloy parts have the longest possible lifespan. Because alloy parts run in harsh applications, Metal Coatings supplies the most favored corrosion protection coatings in the market, including our one-of-a-kind Fluorokote#1®, a unique fluoropolymer coating with resistance to extreme chemical uses for maximum run life.
Metal Coatings Corp. brings three decades of expertise to the use of corrosion resistant coaters, along with the advantage of an 80,000 square foot facility staffed around the clock with coating sector professionals ready to handle rush projects.
A wide variety of anti-corrosion coatings are available, including corrosion resistant steel coatings, to match the performance requirements of a particular use.

Thermally Conductive Epoxy Coatings

Thermal epoxy treatment coatings are specially blended high molecular weight coatings which provide outstanding corrosion resistance generally in most surroundings. These thermally conductive epoxy coatings will also be well suited for applications where an abrasion resistant coating is needed and often used to improve the adhesion of coatings on metal surfaces. Thermal epoxy treatment coatings offer exceptional barrier protection from alkali and caustic solutions, along with other harsh chemicals and solvents.

Halar® ECTFE Coatings

Halar® ECTFE coating is a melt-processable fluoropolymer with a 1:1 switching copolymer construction of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene. As part of the fluoropolymer family, Halar® Coatings or ECTFE Coatings have a unique mixture of properties including good electrical properties, excellent chemical resistance, a broad-use temperature range, exceptional abrasion resistance, and excellent impact strength. Additionally, PVDF (also known as Kynar) is part of the fluoropolymer family offering similar properties to ECTFE.
Halar® / ECTFE Coatings withstand a wide selection of organic solvents and corrosive chemicals, chlorine, including strong acids, and aqueous caustics making them ideal for vessels and process equipment for a lot of industries including the petrochemical sector.

Fluoropolymer Coatings

Fluoropolymer coatings are blends of high performance resins and fluoropolymer lubricants. These coatings are a first-class dry film lubricant that offer exceptional corrosion and chemical resistance and create a smooth, hard, slick coating. Other advantages of fluoropolymer coatings comprise electrical resistance, resistance to galling, non stick, non wetting, reduced friction and abrasion resistance. Fluoropolymer coating applications are extensive; the coatings are applied to fasteners and various OEM parts to provide a longer life before replacing.
For fastener coatings we offer FluoroKote #1, our own proprietary fluoropolymer coating formulated with superior features for the simplest possible removal and also maximum fastener life.

PTFE Coatings

PTFE coatings, or Polytetrafluoroethylene are nonstick fluoropolymer coatings that use a two-coat (primer/topcoat) system. These products have the greatest operating temperature of any fluoropolymer and have extremely low coefficient of friction, reasonable abrasion resistance and good chemical resistance. This coating is generally used where corrosion resistant coating or low friction, or a dry lubricant is necessary. Among the most popular uses of PTFE coatings is for non-stick applications and cookware needed for food standard coatings.
PTFE coating is among the world sought after non-stick products. The PTFE coating procedure can withstand a maximum use temperature of 600°F, higher and has launch capacities that are exceptional. This coating is usually applied to some depth of 1-3 mils.
Trying to find pre- nuts coated bolts or studs? Metal Coatings Corp. carries a tremendous inventory of PTFE coated bolts including coated B7 studs and coated 2H nuts. Fasteners that have gone through the PTFE Coating procedure are accessible for same day transportation in a large number of sizes.

Ceramic Epoxy Coating

Ceramic Epoxy coating is an original abrasion resistant coating that protects into a resin system by ceramic particles that are binding, thus creating an encapsulating ceramic casing. Each ceramic particle becomes closely packaged in the cured film and is resin coated.
Metal Coatings Corp. specializes in epoxy coating, especially ceramic epoxy coating. Contact us now to learn more!
